The cabin can only be reached by car in the summer; there's a long dirt road, but it's easily accessible. The location offers a stunning view of all the peaks. The food is homemade and excellent, but it's a shame they don't have a dessert menu other than the Kaisermarren.

An excellent refuge, accessible by car or with a short scenic walk. I didn't stay, but I had an excellent lunch with typical products and reasonable prices. I believe they don't accept credit cards.

We finally made it to the Speikbodenhütte today in glorious weather and superb snow conditions. The Schlipfkrapfen and fries were delicious again, and the chef was, as always, extremely friendly and welcoming. Hopefully, we'll be back soon 😁 …
