Humble, friendly, unbelievable value and wonderfully delicious cooking. For less than €20 a selection of charcuterie followed by a deeply flavoured, rib-sticking daube of beef. All of this was polished off with a glass of red and a cheese plate. Some great riding roads nearby, too.

As an English family of four we stopped in our way south from the tunnel. No booking so it was good we stopped early for lunch as it got busy with local people. We really enjoyed the food. The mussels was a huge servicing and tasty. The desserts were good too. Good service.

We arrived too late for the Sunday lunch as the kitchen was closed but the lovely staff made us a beautiful baguette each and we even managed to get a lovely home made creme-brulee. The atmosphere was super friendly and we dined in the garden.
