I have this thing where I like to experience things like a local, and if your ever in Aix de Thermes, ok your way to Andorra, skip the tourist menu for the plat du jour . Mine was butternut squash soup, stuffed cabbage with a glass of wine.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner here on a Monday night in January, when majority of other restaurants seemed to be closed. We sat upstairs and our waitress was very friendly. Beef bourguignon was especially delicious and kids were happy as they had Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream.

Interesting place, nice Carte D'or ice cream and sorbets . I asked for a vermouth with cassis and was glad to receive a martini with cassis although it was mixed which was a shame as it's nice to pour the syrup through the martini so it drops to the bottom of the glass, but forgiven as it's not their usual request.
