Very good food and wine woth a great view! It is also possible to buy wine bottels or boxes of 6. Service was quick and very nice.
Unfortunately now an inhospitable place A visit to the “Römerstube” was a must on our Moselle holidays for many years. There was delicious and inexpensive wine from an extensive wine list. We never went home without a few cases of wine. The menu wasn't very extensive but the dishes were also delicious. What awaited us two weeks ago was a renovated guest room with a "landlady" who had "barricaded" herself behind the counter without greeting us. We ordered wine and punch from the very manageable menu. The punch was an emergency solution as a Prosecco was refused because they didn't want to open a bottle specifically for a glass. The ticket price of the punch was increased by 50% when paying because there was now fruit in it!? When it was pointed out to the landlady that the "Römerstube" was no longer what it once was, she pointed out in a customer-friendly manner that she could do without guests like us. Since there are a number of very hospitable establishments in Beilstein, it will be easy for us to avoid the "Römerstube" in the future.
Bad service and rip off The guest was not greeted upon entering. In a wine bar, the guest wasn't recommended the wine; no, the punch was actually forced upon him. This punch was mediocre at best. When paying, it turned out that it didn't cost 3.00 euros as advertised on the menu, but 4.50 euros - the reason: the punch that was served contained fruit. Honestly, fruit in a punch bowl is standard fare for me. When it was discovered that the customer had not been made aware of the increased prices, the lady at the bar reacted extremely rudely and told us that she was not dependent on customers like us. That may be true, but if she always does it like that, it could be bad for business at some point. For example, when asked to get a Secco, the response was negative; you don't open it specifically for a glass. It's unbelievable how incompetent this lady was - I might even have bought a few bottles. In short, if I could give 0 stars, I would.
