Turmstube : Marktstraße 45, 76831 Billigheim-Ingenheim

We came across the Turmstube by chance on our short trip. We hadn't pre-ordered and despite it being fully booked, we were allowed to eat there. At the regulars' table, we Swabians enjoyed an excellent Palatinate meal. My husband dared to try Pfälzer Saumagen, which we didn't know yet. I was also able to try it...a pleasure, just like my roast pork with dumplings. After the absolutely crunchy and super seasoned salad, the main course scored twice as much. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, cozy, special and with history. The owners' warmth in person and the other guests who sat down at the regulars' table enriched our unfortunately far too short stay with the Palatinate conviviality. Thank you for the delicious food and this warm atmosphere, which is increasingly necessary, especially in these difficult times. All the best to you, we will definitely come back when we are nearby....

A really great restaurant with cozy rooms, delicious regional cuisine and warm service. This chance meeting was an experience. A very warm and funny host in a rustic atmosphere in an old winding gate castle. The cuisine is regional and very tasty with many Palatinate specialties. There was delicious local wine from the Rapp winery to buy and homemade jam displayed on a small shelf. We immediately felt at home, ate very tasty goose and bratwurst with sauerkraut and also had a great ending with the pickled plums. The innkeeper was kind enough to sell us a bottle of wine to take home and gave it almost for the price of his purchase. We would be happy to come back and would highly recommend it. Exceptional restaurant in the tower. We got a seat without a reservation . Here, in addition to the excellent Palatinate food, we also met friendly locals. Highly recommended. Best wishes from Baden.
