The food was always delicious. Breakfast was also very good. I just think the drink prices are too high. €8.60 for a 0.75L bottle of water... It would also be good to have a wine list brought to the table. It's only available on a tablet upon request.
The food was definitely tasty and of good quality. However, the service and the price-performance ratio are not right at all. Aside from Oktoberfest, I drank my most expensive beer here. A small water fee costs €5.30.
We stayed at the Parkhotel Jordanbad over the weekend and enjoyed the highly acclaimed themed buffet on Friday evening and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the restaurant, which unfortunately dampened our mood for the entire wellness stay. This was especially true because we felt misunderstood by the restaurant staff in our dissatisfaction. We arrived at this 4-star hotel with high expectations, which the restaurant fell far short of our expectations. We've experienced very different hotel restaurants. This was our honeymoon, and it was disappointing that it was less than we expected. The themed buffet on Friday was Italian evening. There were Italian dishes, but much of it had little to do with Italy in our eyes. The buffet is open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. We went to the restaurant at 8 p.m. with a reservation. Unfortunately, many items were already gone, and the restaurant staff were unable to restock them. The service left a lot to be desired. We had to wait 15 minutes for two martinis, which we wanted as an aperitif. That can happen sometimes, but it was quiet, and our waitress stood at the next table with our order, chatting with the guests there the entire time. When she finally went into the kitchen, everything happened very quickly, and the martinis arrived. It would be beyond the scope of this article to write down everything that went wrong in the restaurant that weekend. We received a bottle of white wine in our room as compensation. Saturday's breakfast was good. On Sunday, however, by 9:45 a.m. (breakfast is served until 11 a.m.), there were no more rolls left. When we asked, the staff became rude. A few minutes later, instead of the rolls you'd expect from a 4-star restaurant, we were served pre-baked rolls like you'd find at a discount store. That had absolutely nothing to do with 4 stars. After we took a photo of the buffet (see also this review), the kitchen staff loudly discussed the situation and our complaint. We felt completely unwelcome and misunderstood as guests. Unfortunately, we haven't found a place here that we would want to return to, and we wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone (exclusively because of the restaurant).
