Restaurant Zur Post - Wilfried Voigt : Schöppenstedter Str. 6, 38170 Vahlberg

We were there for the asparagus buffet. The country inn was very full. Unfortunately the asparagus was picked apart by the guests. We also had problems twice with the drinks we returned. The food was otherwise delicious and the buffet was always topped up. The service was extremely overwhelmed and couldn't keep up.

We are trail riders and asked nicely for lunch after it said "very good food" at the entrance to the town. The answer was... We don't do lunch anymore. Very disappointing and not nice. No opening hours are advertised, so it's not possible to guess after the special arrival.

We actually wanted to have lunch there. We were told it wasn't possible (2:00 p.m.). We were the only customers at that time. The waitress was very unfriendly. After a few minutes, we were at least allowed to order two coffees and one piece of cake each. Unfortunately, it was heated in the microwave.
