An excellent place to spend a leisurely hour or more. Absolutely outstanding cuisine from animals raised on-site under extensive farming conditions. This is why the meat is so exceptionally tasty. The staff is friendly and work in an organized and structured manner. Lovely salad plates as a side dish, with a choice of salad or gravy. In summer, you can sit outside (partially under cover). Babies and children are welcome. Fresh water bowls are available outside for dogs. Excellent cakes and tarts are served with your coffee afterward. All made in-house. There are ice creams from a deep freezer as well as very nice ice cream sundaes. The portions are filling. Even the spaghetti Bolognese has a special twist. No additives or flavor enhancers are used. Special requests such as gluten-free or vegan are accommodated. You feel completely at home here. Restrooms are very clean. The restaurant has the ambiance of a country pub. There's also a snack menu, perfect for a break after a hike in this picturesque area. Delicious sauces accompany the dumpling dishes (gluten-free). A special highlight on the menu: beef sausages from the farm's own Galloway cattle. The menu also includes baked cauliflower and potato wedges, among other things.
Food didn't come at the same time, but rather very delayed. Vegetarian alternatives are pasta with ketchup or fried ready-made food. Sausages, snacks and cabbage are fine. The service is very unfriendly and arrogant (e.g. eye rolling when asked). A portion of Parmesan, two teaspoons in a very small glass bowl, costs €1.70. The schnitzels were fried to death, incredibly tough and the herb butter was the only taste, which is incomprehensible for a dish that is advertised as a house specialty. In response to the question about dessert, we were rudely pointed out the ice cream chest with ready-made ice cream in the entrance area. Cake and affogato are delicious. We don't recommend the restaurant and won't be coming back! Too bad!
Very friendly and nice, the food is very good.
