Franconian Open Air Museum Fladungen : Bahnhofstraße 19, 97650 Fladungen

The Franconian Open Air Museum Fladungen was a nice spot for a family visit. The houses were fascinating, preserving their authenticity with original furniture and fixtures dating back to the 1700s. Our little ones enjoyed interacting with the various animals and exploring the intriguing stops throughout the museum. The brewery was also interesting, it still produces beer the same way as in the 1700s and you can purchase some at the reception, along with freshly baked bread. The school and print shop were also great to explore. We were fortunate to witness a nearby Steam locomotive preparing for its operation the next day, which apparently is a rare occurrence that takes place a few times a year. Overall, it was a a very good experience, and we highly recommend it.

Suprisingly good day out

Wonderful day trip for the whole family. The guided tours are very educational and informational.
