Great destination! From the Lederstube car park , the hike goes up along wide forest paths along a stream. It is an easy hike through beautiful nature. The website states the hike takes 50 minutes - with children or older people I would plan more like 60-70 minutes. At the hut we had the three-course meal, which is served inside. It was excellent, everything was very tasty and I would describe the cuisine as quite ambitious, but at the same time pleasantly down to earth. The food is regionally produced - if you want, you can watch it being prepared in the open kitchen. The ambience of the hut has been carefully and stylishly renovated. The service is incredibly nice! It wasn't a bargain , but absolutely worth the money! There's a kiosk of sorts outside that also has some great stuff . When we were there - on a spring Sunday in April - the hut was full, but everyone still found a place. It's especially great for children to play outside. Can be reached from Munich in under an hour and is an absolute tip for a trip!
