We came here based on a personal recommendation and were not disappointed. Both the starters and main courses left nothing to be desired; everything was truly delicious. Of course, this isn't a five-star restaurant, but the ambiance was lovely and the service was great. The value for money was completely reasonable. 👍 We will definitely be back. So, a clear recommendation from us. 👍
If you like fish, you can eat well, really well here. The price/performance ratio is right here. The staff are very nice but a bit slow in serving the drinks. The food came quite quickly. Still, I recommend this restaurant.
On the way back we stopped here for dinner because we wanted to eat delicious fish. What would be better than a good Portuguese? Quite inconspicuously located in the small town of Althengstett. There is a bit of a smell of smoke at the beginning, which is due to the separate smoking area to the right of the entrance area. I would describe the restaurant as “typical Portuguese family business”. Lots of tables, small counter, simple interior but hospitable and quaint. We had fried peppers and garlic scampi as starters. Bread with black olives and a homemade garlic cream are served. For the main course we had the grilled salmon and the grilled fish platter. Very tasty and good grilled taste, although a bit too well done. We also had Portuguese house wine and a small port wine. Both good. The espresso afterwards was very good and can serve as a model for many restaurateurs. All in all a successful evening, although we had to roll our way home because we had eaten too much. Very nice family business with good Portuguese fish dishes.
