We stayed at the hotel (NATURE TITISEE) for 6 nights and had a wonderful experience. Our room was located outside the main hotel building, in a separate area about 400 meters away. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful, available for anything we needed – always with a smile. The room was spacious and well-equipped, including a small kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, electric stovetop, and refrigerator. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The view from the window overlooking the forest and the lake was absolutely stunning. Each morning before breakfast, a box was delivered early to our room and left outside the door. It included fresh croissants, jam, and fruit. Breakfast is served in the hotel’s main building – it was fresh and tasty, and the staff handling it were kind and attentive. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel – great service, clean and comfortable rooms, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Wonderful hotel and restaurant with friendly staff. Superb location right by Titisee with a swimming pool, sauna and also the option of going for a swim in the lake or paddle boating. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families and couples looking for a quiet getaway.
Nestled in a stunning location facing the picturesque lake, just a mile from Titisee, the Alemannenhof Boutique Hotel captures the imagination with its fairy tale-like exterior. The charming wooden structure is complemented by a plethora of vibrant flowers and enchanting local-style architecture. The intimate setup, limited number of rooms, and exceptionally friendly reception staff create a welcoming ambiance that's difficult to surpass. The view from the rooms is breathtaking—a serene lake surrounded by tranquility, without the distraction of other hotels or bustling roads. However, the hotel experience fell short in a couple of significant areas. Firstly, the room design, which includes an integrated bathroom, lacked necessary ventilation. Post-shower, the room became uncomfortably humid. Additionally, the absence of air conditioning was keenly felt during a particularly hot week, and the lack of mosquito nets meant we couldn't open the windows without inviting swarms of mosquitoes from the nearby lake, leaving us to choose between a stifling room or itchy bites. Despite these issues, the physical charm of the building would have warranted a four-star review. However, the dining experience profoundly disappointed. The service began with a reservation mix-up, followed by misinformation and a lack of engagement from our waiter, who vanished mid-service without arranging a replacement. We endured a 45-minute wait between courses, only resolved when we sought out another waiter for assistance. The meal itself was underwhelming too—the steak was overcooked to the texture of leather, the cheesecake dry as desert sand, and the vegetarian main course lacked any imagination. The overall dining experience did not reflect the standards expected of a four-star boutique hotel, especially given the premium pricing of the meal. The restaurant alone, I regret to say, would struggle to merit even a one-star rating.
