Very cozy, rustically furnished, lovingly restored old restaurant, which unfortunately cannot find a tenant, so it is only open to a very limited extent. The restaurant is run by very committed, volunteer helpers, especially during theater performances and the like. farmed, so only small dishes are available.
Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. Both the pork schnitzel and the Jägerschnitzel were not cooked through and were returned, and the fries also left a lot to be desired. Nevertheless, the full price was charged. Something like that doesn't actually work! It's a real shame - and hopefully just an unfortunate isolated case... but one that could have been handled better. The rooms and atmosphere were nice.
First of all, something positive: it was Oktoberfest and it was nicely decorated accordingly. We were greeted warmly. The solo entertainer Happy Jack played and this left a lot to be desired. About the food: we unfortunately have to say that this was the worst food we have ever eaten in a restaurant. We had pork loin with spaetzle and a small side salad. The food came quickly. The meat, however, was very dark for pork and also very tough and unfortunately tasted a bit old. I couldn't eat it. The spaetzli were ready-made and the imperial vegetables were completely overcooked and most likely from the freezer counter. The sauce was definitely not homemade but also some ready-made product and the side salad, which also cost extra, consisted of 3 leaves of lettuce from a small tomato, sliced carrots from the jar and 3 slices of cucumber. I love salad but I couldn't finish this one because the dressing was very artificial and extremely sweet. When the waitress came to clear it away, she saw the meat on my plate and immediately said "oh dear, you didn't like that". I said that unfortunately I didn't like it and what kind of meat this was. Because this was not Schwrinelende. She then said I'm sorry, I was also surprised it looked so different. Whether I wanted something else or coffee or schnapps. I thought to myself, I think it's good that the innkeeper admits his mistake so honestly and offers something. However, I didn't want anything more. But then the bill came. I actually had to pay full price for this meal. My conclusion: We definitely won't be coming back. It's a shame how that turned out.
