Really very friendly family business. We were warmly welcomed and served extremely kindly and helpfully from start to finish. The portions are surprisingly large and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, our food was too salty and the boiled potatoes could have stayed in the pot a little longer. Probably a one-off slip-up, because I would like to believe that the Kastanienhof is a nice, relaxing place where you can also eat well. Unfortunately, we are influenced by this first and so far only impression. Important to know: people with walking difficulties or in wheelchairs cannot use the toilets or can only use them with great difficulty. The toilet facilities are located in the basement, which can only be reached via a long staircase.

I was a frequent guest at Kastanienhof about 20 years ago. Now I was in the area again and thought I'd stop by. And I wasn't disappointed. The food was still delicious, the portions were very generous, and the value for money was incredibly good for Munich. The main courses included salad, and that for a mere €18 – where else can you find something like that?!? The service was also very fast and friendly. We'll be back!😃
