Very tasty authentic local dishes! They were very nice to receive us although we had no reservations and the place was pretty crowded. The food was very good, specially their cheese cream (obatzda) , the trout and the sour cabbage. You have to try the beer brewed by them! The menu is only in German, but they are good English speakers.

This is a great spot on the Fünf Seidla Steig. Previously, I'd only had a small snack but have always enjoyed their beer. Well, I went last week for the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the trail and finally got to eat a full meal. The Schäuferla was perfectly done, with crispy pork skin on top and the sauce was good, too. My friend had their carp and said it was great. Their Dunkles beer seemed better than ever. They have a live band going from room to room, which added to the atmosphere and considering how crowded it was, the service was pretty efficient.
