Hotel Gasthof Sperrer : Ortenburger Str. 5, 83224 Grassau

We got stuck on the German highway and had to spend the night in this town. We were searching for a place to have dinner and this was the only restaurant nearby. Their menu is only in German so we didn't really know what we ordered but the food was great! Big portions, tasty food and low price. I would definitely recommend you to try local spirits after food.

We spent our first early summer vacation in the Chiemgau region. The Hotel Sperrer is located in the heart of Grassau, next to the village church in the heart of the Chiemgau region, between Lake Chiemsee and the Alps. A good starting point for hikes. In the hotel building behind the guesthouse, the rooms are very clean and freshly renovated. Three ladies run the Hotel Sperrer, and we received a very friendly welcome. We booked a suite on the third floor with a beautiful mountain view directly in the hotel. The rooms are generously furnished, with a lovely living room, a small, fully equipped kitchen, a lovely bedroom with a box-spring bed, and a large covered balcony with a mountain view. The breakfast is good, and you can also have fried or scrambled eggs upon request. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Mrs. Sperrer, "the younger one," asked us every time we met if everything was okay or if we had any requests. We spend a lot of time in the Alps and South Tyrol on our holidays, and this hotel is one of the friendliest accommodations we've ever experienced, and we'll be back! Thank you, dear Sperrer family.

Good location and standard prices even in not cheap. Good restaurant.
