Restaurant Akropolis : Luitpoldstraße 6A, 87724 Ottobeuren

Very friendly service and very well visited restaurant. Customers arrived before restaurant opening. I was lucky to get a reservation for 2 about 40 min before. Food, portion and value is good. The restaurant has been opened since 3 generations. The wine leaves filled with meat and rice is served with a lemon sauce just like the grandma did it, her grandson explained. It was delicious. Salad and giros were good. Mousaka was also good but it did not taste fresh. Overall good experience and hope that such as family traditional restaurant keeps going. Nice indoor and outdoor sitting area.

I usually avoid going to greek restaurants abroad, since I can cook at home. We visited Acropolis by complete chance, and because food options for kids on the road are limited. I am glad we did!! The food is excellent, *almost* as good as my mom's :). The portions are big - even for dishes like lamb. They have a nice variety of grilled and oven/slow-cooked meals, as well as the typical appetizers and small dishes you find in Greece. The place is very nice. Make a reservation for patio seating if you can! The staff were very polite and friendly, and the whole operation is run very efficiently. If we are back in that region (Legoland!) we will definetely visit again!
