Located on the edge of the forest, this nature-lovers' house is especially popular in summer, with a lovely playground for children. Parking is nearby. Most of the outdoor seating is shaded. Relaxing, and food and drinks are also available.

The food is top-notch, homemade, fresh, and delicious. Great value for money! We had the Palatinate plate and the Jägerschnitzel. The side salad was included and also incredibly delicious. Our friends' sausage salad and fries were also excellent. You can choose between large and small portions. The restaurant is self-service (order at the Dresden) and the Schlemmerblock restaurant worked without a hitch. The service when ordering and bringing the food was a bit confusing (forgotten cutlery, double bread, didn't understand the order, croquettes and fries instead of the usual). In good weather, you can also sit outside. The interior is quaintly decorated, like a Palatinate hut. I unfortunately have to downgrade my review: The boss(?), who has red hair, was extremely unfriendly, rude, and grumpy on my last visit. The Schlemmerblock restaurant is no longer available on Sundays (you can't know if it's not listed anywhere). Reservations via the website didn't work because the website isn't always accessible or belongs to someone else (you can't know, especially if it worked otherwise). She took the order in a really rude manner, rolling her eyes (and then getting half of it wrong). Her tone and manner were absolutely unacceptable. I found it truly rude, and that's simply not how you treat guests, especially when they're being polite. The food was good, and the other waiters were also very attentive and helpful, but the lady seemed to think, "There are enough people here anyway, so one more or less doesn't matter." It's a real shame. Therefore, points are deducted for the service and ambience. Latest update: Many thanks to the owner for the reply. I consider the problem resolved and am changing my review back to the original one.

Marcello has been the new tenant since the middle of the year and now things are running again👍nice outdoor seating surrounded by the forest and delicious food😋. Nice playground right next to it. We'll be back🙋‍♀️ …
