Hotel Ritter Jörg : Maingasse 14, 97286 Sommerhausen

Beautiful Hotel in the middle of the Old Town. The staff was amazing in providing a room when my Wife and I arrived a day earlier than what we had reserved. The staff moved our luggage to our booked room the next day while we went hiking. The dining room was spacious, the atmosphere relaxing and the breakfast buffet delicious and plentiful.

This is a lovely hotel, welcoming, clean and comfortable. Try to ensure you stay when the hotels italian restaurant is open as we reckon its some of the best Italian cooking you'll find anywhere. We stayed last year on way to Italy from Rotterdam but restaurant was closed so we made sure to get the right night this year. The delightful little village of Sommerhausen is worth far more than an overnight stay as it is magically preserved and will please the hardest critic. A walk around the village will amaze the gardeners amongst you as the little allotments are superbly tended and a wonder to behold for those of us with less skill. We will certainly return.

Incredible location and high quality hotel. A shame there was no elevator, however with only two floors this was manageable. We would definitely return! Very unique hotel and lovely staff.
