Hohenthanner Brauereigasthof : Rottenburger Str. 22, 84098 Hohenthann

During our three week visit to Bavaria in Sept 2023, we took a road trip to Munich. We set aside an afternoon to travel to Hohenthann and take an opportunity to enjoy lunch. Unfortunately we were unaware the Brauereigasthof was closed but that didn’t deter us from taking a look around. We came across the proprietor, Horst, who shared they indeed were closed but his hospitality was tremendous. Being American he could have simply shooed us away, instead briefly opened the Biergarten and shared a few biers and wonderful stories. The taste of the Hohenthaner bier is amazing, our host made us feel welcomed even if it was his day off. Our visit was so wonderful, the universe put us all in that exact moment and time, that we left each other with this thought, “If I hiccup, we will think of you, if you hiccup, think of me.” I can’t speak of the new ownership, but I believe the karma present, is simply the uniqueness and charm of Hohenthanner Brauereigasthof. Prost.

We had a celebration with 30 people in the adjoining room and had a wonderful time. The staff was very accommodating, hospitable, and warm, and we enjoyed the perfect service. Everyone enjoyed the food. We'll be back! Highly recommended!

Very high-quality and tasty food. We had a saganaki salad and a rolled roast. The dessert was also exceptional! The service was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!!!
