What a wonderful historic inn! Despite arriving relatively late after our hike, Mr. Franz welcomed us very warmly and gave us a briefing on the day we were off. We were immediately informed that only one inn was open, which was great, as it meant we could reserve the last available table there. The room in the inn was fantastic. It wasn't ultra-modern, of course, but it matched the ambiance of the entire building. Everything was clean. The toilet and bathroom were separate and very small, but the rest of the room was very spacious! In the morning, there was a wonderful breakfast with fresh ingredients, beautifully presented. The price was perfectly reasonable.

I didn't have time to take a picture of the food, it was so delicious. My husband's family lives in Coburg, and whenever we come for a visit, we go to lunch here. I highly recommend it.

We had a business dinner at the restaurant. The ambiance was lovely, simple and old-fashioned. The owner who served us knew how to treat guests. The dishes were perfectly presented without being intrusive. We had soup to go, lamb, rump steak, and dessert. Everything was delicious, and we will definitely come back.
