A nice afternoon, and allow maybe 2-3 hours to see all the gardens, maybe have a coffee and visit the shop. The gardens are between blooms just now (early May) but overall despite the nice layout the gardens are mature and would need refurbishment. This wasn't a major distraction though. Prices are approaching what we say in English as "fleecing the customer". Euro 10 per adult admission to the gardens is high, but the prices in the shop for trinkets even more so. The cafe, as well, is quite expensive for simple and not above average fare. I cannot speak to the B&B aspect but I'll wager it's similarly overpriced. **Update April 2024** Last year we visited the gardens and this year had High Tea (it poured rain the entire day). The High tea is excellent! You have to book ahead (online) so that the staff can prepare but that done the rest is easy - show up and enjoy! Each person (for €30) get a pot of their choice of tea, three types of little open-faced sandwiches, a rather good scone with clotted cream, jam and marmalade and several little pastries. So, you can slow life down, nibble and sip away the afternoon and go away quite content. Highly recommended!

Such a beautiful place to have a quiet and peaceful stroll on a sunny day. The gardens are a delight and the restaurant offers a nice selection of dishes and deserts. I had the classic teatime with scones but was disappointed that with this you can only choose a tea from a "commercial standard teabags selection" for your cup of tea, whereas they also have a selection of special herbal and floral tea which you can only choose if you order the more expensive teatime menu with teapot.
