Restaurant Schäferhof : Boller Str. 4, 73119 Zell unter Aichelberg

So good. We arrived at the restaurant quite late (20.45), but they told us they were still open, and this made us super happy since we were hungry :) the service was kind, we ate on the terrace, the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We ordered the zwiebelrostbraten (27€) cooked medium and the käsespätzle (12€). Both were amazing. You could taste the quality of the cheese used in the käsespätzle, and the quality of the meat, since it was so tender and cooked to perfection. Portion are generous, as you can see in the pic. Really recommended!

The Schäferhof in Zell unter Aichelberg is a well-kept spot with truly friendly service – guests feel welcome here. It's no wonder the house is often booked for weddings and other large celebrations – the overall package is just right. At lunchtime, there's a down-to-earth lunch menu with fair prices – perfect for a little (or a lot) hunger between meals. Those looking for something a little more sophisticated can also order from the small menu: The crispy chicken breast on Asian vegetables in coconut milk sauce was not only pretty to look at, but also had a real kick – nicely seasoned, but not too hot. And with rice – what more could you want?

We celebrated our wedding in the air-conditioned hall on the upper floor of the Schäferhof last weekend. Even during the discussion of the four-course menu with the chef, our own wishes and suggested ideas were perfectly coordinated and implemented. The ambiance of the hall was fantastic, and it's also perfectly suited for a small celebration with 35 people. The food more than exceeded our expectations, as well as those of our guests. The wait staff were discreetly in the background throughout the entire wedding, operating unobtrusively and extremely quickly. Every question or request was responded to immediately. We felt completely at home and wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant to anyone planning a celebration or looking for a delicious meal :)
