Beautiful large hall and good, home-style cooking.

Nice traditional inn and restaurant. Food feels very home-cooked and lovingly prepared. We were there for lunch with a party of ten, four of them kids. Everyone was very happy with the food. It takes a little while as everything seems to be cooked freshly when ordered, but it's well worth the wait. Just bring with you a little bit of time. The area around the inn is very beautiful - a very natural mixture of extensive agriculture and forest. Strongly recommended for a family hiking trip (hint: Start at the Höllenstein water dam, and hike the 4km to the Alter Wirt in about 1-2hrs).

Very nice place. Comfortable. People are very friendly. I would definitely stay there again. Reasonably priced.
