Hotel Luitpold am See : Inhaber: Schlosshotel Herrenchiemsee GmbH, Seestraße 110, 83209 Prien am Chiemsee

This is probably our worst hotel experience. The hotel consists of 3 separate buildings, we got building √2, an old building, with an unclear entrance. Please note that the photos do not correspond to reality, the view from the window is on the road, and in reality it is the 90s. Seriously, the price of a room is 139 euros per night, but this is 80 maximum. You can only check in from 4 o'clock ... The receptionist was rude, I understand that we are not the last and not the first, after what we saw and the reaction at the reception there was no desire to stay, but this is our stop before a 7-hour drive by car, we will spend the evening somewhere outside, that just to spend the night until 7 am and drive on. You teach your staff to be more polite to the client, understanding, and so that the manner of communication does not depend on the color of the client's skin or on how long the client has stay. As a hotel worker in Baden-Baden I am disappointed. The room is clean, but to wait for hot water in the shower you have to stand for 10 minutes, the drain is clogged, the towels are old. Wasted money.

For us it was just perfect - great location just by the lake, great view, good breakfast and a friendly staff. Quiet and chill. There was a great party in the restaurant the last night and when we went to the room we couldn’t hear the music inside, because it has a good insulation. I have no complaints and can‘t wait to come back again soon!

Dropped in for dinner and did not regret it. Excellent service, delicious fare and surprisingly affordable prices. Would highly recommend. Lovely views of the lake too.
