Gasthaus Weininsel, Nordheim am Main We – ten men with Hercules, Kreidler, and Zündapp mopeds, accompanied by Silke in the service van – stayed at Gasthaus Weininsel as part of a four-day trip. The newly renovated rooms are lovingly furnished and very well-maintained – you immediately feel at home. In the morning, a rich breakfast buffet awaited us with everything your heart desires: sausage, cheese, bread, rolls, desserts, fruit – and freshly prepared egg dishes upon request. In the evening, we dined on the beautiful terrace. The menu is varied and impressive, featuring classic Franconian dishes (Schäufela, Bratwürstle, Blaue Zipfel, Tafelspitz), schnitzel variations, toasted dishes, and salads. Everything was excellently prepared and served with a friendly smile. A special highlight was the help of the owner, Andreas Glaser, when a moped was totaled on the first day. He spontaneously organized a trailer for us and personally drove 50km to pick it up – thus enabling our colleague to continue the tour. An extraordinary effort, something we've never experienced before! A big thank you also to the entire hotel team: whether room service, service staff, or kitchen staff – everyone was always friendly, helpful, and dedicated. Summary: A fantastic hotel with heart, excellent cuisine, stylish rooms, and a host who embodies genuine hospitality. Highly recommended – we'll be back.
