Shockingly Disappointing Visit – Dangerous Playground & Questionable Food Our visit was unfortunately anything but pleasant. We are disappointed and, to be honest, shocked. Although the garden appears natural at first glance, it was overall noticeably run down. The condition of the playground was particularly alarming: The sandbox was no longer usable, with only a small amount of dirty sand left, and sharp-edged, unplastered bricks all around, dangerously protruding above the sand (see picture). This condition poses a real safety risk for children, and we seriously wonder how it can even be allowed. The swing was also in poor condition: old, seemingly unstable, squeaked loudly, and overall untrustworthy (see picture). The disappointment continued with the food. We had two Sauerbraten dishes and one schnitzel. The schnitzel tasted okay, as did the fries, but we found a foreign metal part on the plate that shouldn't belong in any dish (see picture). A clear hygiene issue that absolutely shouldn't happen. The side salad for €3.50 was tiny, with no proper dressing, just a dab of mayonnaise. The Sauerbraten was completely inedible, tough, leathery, and barely seasoned. The sauce was thin, light, and had nothing to do with a typical dark Sauerbraten sauce. The dumplings had a strangely unpleasant flavor, and the red cabbage was spicy. All in all, it was a complete failure. Now, over six hours later, I'm still feeling nauseous. The prices are astonishingly high for a restaurant in a small town and absolutely unjustified for what you get here. We came with low expectations and were still disappointed.

The Goldener Adler in Mürsbach is an excellent address! The menu has something for everyone, with traditional offerings as well as vegetarian and even vegan options. The food is fresh and aromatic and the portions are very generous, all at a very reasonable price and extremely friendly and pleasant service. The restaurant itself is lovingly and comfortably furnished and is located in the middle of Mürsbach, embedded in the romantic Itzgrund. A tip for an authentic experience in the region. We'll be back!
