Wirtshaus Elwetritsch : Hauptstraße 32, 76889 Schweigen-Rechtenbach

Every restaurant in Schweigen-Rechtenbach is beautiful in its own way, but the Elwetritsch stands out with its enchanting courtyard garden, attractively and lovingly decorated. As soon as you enter, you feel relaxed and a little like you're on vacation. We couldn't find a place for seven at any restaurant in Schweigen, but the Elwetritsch made it possible. We knew we'd be sitting outside under the canopy and were dressed accordingly. We could have moved inside at some point, but we didn't want to. The Elwetritsch impresses, among other things, with its warm, family-run atmosphere and its excellent food. We tried the Saumagen Carpaccio, which was simply something new. It was sliced a bit thicker than the usual beef. But wafer-thin would not have been possible with Saumagen, nor would it be appropriate. It was something completely different, somewhat "Palatinate," with excellent meat from a regional butcher. Refined with pesto and spices, it was absolutely delicious. I was already full from the starter I shared with my husband. But I also ordered delicious "Flääschknepp" (a kind of fried dumpling) with horseradish sauce, which was delicious enough to eat. My husband had the "Dreggiche," fried potatoes with blood sausage and liver sausage (he didn't want to share, which is saying something!), and our daughter had the pork loin with homemade spaetzle. She's very picky about food, but she raved about this one. We had a wonderful evening in an enchanting setting with excellent food and wine from the local winery. A dream of an inn. Romantic garden with great attention to detail. The many plants alone are an eye-catcher. You can't help but be amazed. The food was great and so were the wines. The friendly atmosphere and the nice service too. A nice weekend in Silence-Rechtenbach. Highly recommended.

Very friendly welcome, each of the four double rooms individually furnished, rich breakfast in a nostalgic atmosphere, there are cozy places in the garden to relax... a little paradise to feel good that invites you to come back. August 2022, the “Group 60 plus” sends greetings.
