We got lucky to get a table without reservation, the place can be very busy. It is worth to try it, the atmosphere is so special and they offer delicious honey wine. Tart flambé was also good.

I had my first mead here and what a classic experience that was!. I am very fascinated by the amount of detail in this place- it really captures the vibe of a dark, cozy, candle lit Tavern, that you forget the world outside is modern for a little while. I was surprised to see one of the servers was even barefoot, I adore it so much. Must see for a drink, for sure! (I drew a little picture of the Vibe of Nürnberg here :))

Delicious food at a great price, in a medieval environment that takes us back to the Middle Ages - the decor is really stunning. We had a tart flambé with onions and bacon (first time that we tried one) the stew and the cheese fondue. All absolutely delicious. We ordered small portions and we couldn’t eat the all thing - so if you’re having more than one course/person definitely go for the small size plate. The staff was also really nice! Just one note they don’t accept foreign bank cards only German ones, so make sure to withdraw money beforehand.
