Gasthof Zum Löwen : Schloßstraße 5, 63860 Rothenbuch

I stayed at the Gasthof zum Löwen in Rothenbuch during a cycling tour and was absolutely thrilled! The landlady was incredibly warm and attentive – I received such a warm welcome that I immediately felt at home. She spontaneously provided me with a wonderful room – a quiet location, perfect for relaxing, and right next to the castle – simply fantastic! Breakfast was served in the cozy dining room in the morning, and it was not only delicious but also lovingly prepared. I also ate there in the evening – the food was excellent, freshly prepared, and very flavorful. I would particularly like to emphasize that the side salad was a natural part of the meal – that's really rare these days and I was very pleased. The conversations with the landlady were warm and personal – you can really feel that genuine hospitality is alive and well here. If you want to experience Bavarian warmth in a beautiful location, this is the place for you. I would love to come back!

For those who love real German cuisine! This place gives the feeling that you are in the 70s of the last century. Old local interior, cozy, very tasty, no fuss. We got great pleasure from both the food and the place.
