The road to get there is 1 lane only but safe and you really feel like you're in the forest. When you get there the view is great and the people that run it are really nice. Dogs are allowed, and the food is good. The black forest cake is especially good! Really worth the detour if you're in the area.

Delightful surprise at the top of the hill, the restaurant is located in a beautiful hill side near Bad Peterstal and we just made the right choice asking for the Wildragout, just flawless, tender and juice meat with the perfectly seasoned reduction including the red pepper that together with a delicious Preiselbeeren sauce was a high contrast of flavor, from fresh and sweet to spicy and so nicely presented as shown in the picture attached to this review. The Spätzle was the perfect companion for the dish. I have come to expect great food while hiking in the Black Forest, however I am still pleasantly surprised by the delightful dishes you can complement a great hike with.
