FREYHEIT – Grill & Bar : Bahnhofstraße 29, 83684 Tegernsee

The food quality and amount is good. The steak was on point medium rare for both of us and the side dishes were also tasty. However, I rarely spent over 100€ and was so disappointed with the quality and level of service received in such a high class hotel and restaurant. I cannot talk about the actual hotel, but since the restaurant belongs to the hotel, I would expect it to match the quality. The service in the restaurant was not short of unorganised and chaotic to a level where we had to ask for service all the time even though we reserved the table saying that it is the evening before a birthday. We even waited for the bill at the end while I was sitting there with an empty glass for over half an hour before even asking for a bill. So no recommendation from my side unfortunately.

A super restaurant at Caro & Selig with delicious steaks and wonderful service. Steaks are their speciality and they really do excel; they have some of the best steaks I’ve ever had. They are cooked perfectly as requested and presented with just a dash of salt; which is all they need because of how fresh they are. We were there celebrating my wife’s birthday and they were so kind to give us a complimentary piece of cake. Would recommend for any steak lover out there!

We were the guests of the hotel and decided to stay the first night „at home“ and eat in Freyheit. The food was amazing. Great service although we had to wait a bit for the food to arrive. The dinner menu was €45 p.p. The only weak point was aperol so I would suggest to order another drink, otherwise I was very satisfied with my evening.
