Great upscale restaurant in an airy greenhouse. Our 4 course dinner was excellent, with creative touches. The service was very friendly, but did not seem a bit unsure. Very accommodating of the vegan guest in our party, creating a special menu on the fly. Reasonable prices for the quality you get.

We came here for a late lunch this Sunday after having visited the Paul Klee museum just behind the restaurant building. There are two sections, the modern orangery and the old style decorated part with intimate little rooms where we were directed. The menu is restricted with good vegetarian options. The food is good, cooked to the minute and decently priced. Like in many restaurants in the German speaking parts of Switzerland you have to pay for tap water, even when ordering wine which we consider an abuse. The choice of open wines is restricted but well selected. Recommended.

If you like fine dinning put don't want to spend as much as a michelin star restaurant - Restaurant Schöngrün is your place. They have a wonderful garden at the backyard, perfect for long summer evening. In the front yard you have the entrance to the Zentrum Paul Klee which is a great art museum with pieces of Paul Klee and other exhibitions.
