Parking is not the best. There was no shelf in the shower for the shower gel. Breakfast good. Cleanness good.

Great hosts in a beautiful old building. Good location for the centre of town. The room was fine with a very comfortable bed. The food in the restaurant was high quality.

First time ever, we booked a Hotel for 4 nights, paid fully for 4 nights and left home after the 3rd night. This hotel presents a curious paradox. On the one hand, the restaurant's popularity and the overall ambiance suggest a commitment to quality. The couple who owns this Hotel seemed friendly, though their helpfulness felt more obligatory than genuine. However, this positive impression quickly fades when you delve deeper. The rooms themselves are a major disappointment. The space is poorly utilized, leading to a cramped and inefficient layout. The bed, while adequate, was surprisingly hard, though the pillows were comfortable enough. The television, however, was an outdated model lacking modern features, and the internet connection was frustratingly slow. To add insult to injury, the shower experience was abysmal. The water pressure was incredibly low, making it difficult to properly rinse off. And if that wasn't enough, the lift added another layer of frustration to our stay. It was not only scary, with jerky movements and unsettling noises, but also frequently out of order, forcing us to climb several flights of stairs.Furthermore, the kids' bed was constantly squeaking, which significantly disrupted our sleep. Perhaps the most glaring issue is the discrepancy between the hotel's aspirations and its actual execution. It feels like the owners aim for high standards but are unwilling to invest the necessary resources to achieve them. This creates a sense of incongruity, leaving guests with a feeling of paying a premium for a subpar experience. Be prepared for lots of DIY. You need to make your own bed. Cleaning happens after 3 nights. It also includes your bed will not be made everyday. In the breakfast if you need a Sunnyside or so, stove and a pan is kept. You have to do it yourself. In summary: * Positives: Location, Decent breakfast, potentially good restaurant (based on observation, apparently we didn't reply to their Email for the Dinner bookings, so we didn't get any dinner) * Negatives: Hard bed, outdated TV, slow internet, poor room layout, indifferent service, lack of value for money, horrible shower experience, scary and unreliable lift, squeaky Kids bunker bed, undoubtedly overpriced * Recommendation: While the restaurant might be worth a visit, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. There are likely better options available for the price. If other hotels are unavailable and you must choose this one: * Parking: Obtain a parking ticket from reception to access the public garage nearby. * Dining: Reserve your dinner in advance to avoid disappointment. *Internet: Very slow internet, you might end up using your mobile data. Be prepared. * Service: Among the couple who runs the hotel the lady may seem friendly, her assistance can be passive-aggressive. If you require help, it's advisable to approach the man, even though his demeanor might be a bit brusque. He at least is a bit professional and trying to help.
