Mokni's Palais Hotel & SPA : Kurpl. 4-6, 75323 Bad Wildbad

We enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay here with entrance to the Palais Thermal and champagne breakfast included. We stayed in a newly refurbished suite which had very comfortable beds and high-quality bedding. We slept so well. The bathroom had a bath and shower and felt indulgent in decor and size. While the mini fridge in the room is empty, we brought our own wine to put in it. Fluffy towels and robes are provided for your use during your stay. The spa is excellent. The varied aufguss schedule runs hourly, we loved both the ice tea and music sessions and the varied scents used. The Moorish room is such a beautiful place to enjoy lunch. We had pizza and flamenkuchen - both reasonably priced and delicious. It was great to learn more about the history of the spa - thankfully a lady who spoke English translated it for us. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We left refreshed and rejuvenated.

The owner or manager seemed to speak English well I had trouble getting into the room and thought there was something wrong with the door. Turns out I don’t need to twist the knob, I just needed to push the door really hard. Manager was nice enough to show me. Thing to note, their reception desk closes and open at certain hours. If you leave early or late, you need to tell them in advance. The breakfast buffet included is pretty amazing. The fresh fruit smoothie is something you must have. The only downside was their internet barely worked for a few hours for my two night stay.

I believe you are required to book a minimum of 3 nights to stay here, and that's what we did during the 1st May long weekend. We wanted to visit this region (beautiful!), and this was the best hotel. The lady at the reception was wonderful, we speak German very badly and she had no problem communicating in English with us. The hotel is very nice, in my opinion. Our room was spacious and clean. You have to ask to change your towels, but, honestly, we kept the same ones during our stay: at home we don't change them daily either and they were clean... Also, the towel warmer dries them pretty fast. You are connected and you have access to the Palais Thermal, which we tried just once. It was not our main point of interest, but we wanted to check it out anyway. We read that it was textile-free, and most of the places are, but the ground floor is mixed; we saw lots of people with swimming suits or shorts (as it was our case, since we're not used to bathe naked in public), but also people who were naked and no one seemed to be bothered or uncomfortable with one another. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Parking is limited but you can book it in advance and it's not expensive. We had a lovely time here and we would definitely come back.
