We were returning from an excursion and didn't have a reservation. We entered the Badischer Hof and asked. We were lucky. We really enjoyed the attentive, competent service. Whether it was about Baden specialties or the wine recommendation. We were very pleasantly surprised by the welcome from the kitchen. The food was very good. We had half a dozen snails to start with. Main course: 1. Ox cheeks with vegetables and steamed potatoes. 2. Beef tongue, vegetables with tagliatelle. Everything tasted excellent. The meat was cooked to perfection. Wonderfully seasoned. The vegetables and side dishes were all perfect. Kudos to the chef. If we're ever near Oppenau again, we'll definitely eat at the Badischer Hof again.
