I've not had the pleasure to eat a full meal here but the food looks great. They have a nice snack menu and when hiking the Fünf Seidla Steig, it's good to eat something small in each place. Their Dunkles is what draws the crowds and for good reason.

Amazing beer. The Helles here was the best I had on the Fünf Seidla Steig. Warm ambiance, too.

The interior isn't that cozy, so we sat outside in the beer garden. The meatloaf with egg and fries was decent. The sausage platter was decent too. You can't really go wrong with that. However, with the spit roast, the fried potatoes were cold, the salad was forgotten, and the gravy was way too salty. I scraped off the gravy and ate just a pinch of it with the meat, and then it was fine. It was a shame. It also felt a bit finished. The drinks, like the beer and spritzer, were perfectly fine. And I'm happy with the self-service pager system and the expensive deposit. This way, they save on staff, can still serve many guests, and don't have to close due to a lack of staff. Tips aren't really accepted, though, as it's poorly organized and only half-reliable.
