They still exist: cozy inns, personally run, with excellent service and down-to-earth cuisine that many a star-rated hotel kitchen should take as a model. The asparagus was out, no problem, the kitchen quickly brought out fresh, new food. The result was a traditional Saxon dish that is second to none. Everything was perfect: potatoes, asparagus, sauce, and of course, the tongue, tender as butter. At the end, the waitress apologized for taking a while, as they had to restock the asparagus. It's amazing how such a place still exists! This restaurant is located not far from the nearby A72 motorway. The food alone is worth the stop, but you should check the opening hours: Wed-Fri 11am-2pm. It's worth it; you'd be hard-pressed to find anything better.

Rustic, small restaurant on the main road that only offers lunch three days a week. Very good home cooking at reasonable prices. The service is friendly.
