Gabelsbergerhof Landshut, Gabelsbergerstraße 19, 84034 Landshut

We first visited Gabelsbergerhof during our last visit to Landshut three years ago, and we were so excited about the food and ambiance it was all so fantastic. So, of course, we were really looking forward for an encore, alas, it was not to be. We shared an anti-pasta of fruit de mare, which left the impression that the seafood came from a can. For my entree, I order the Torelli with prosciutto, it was a bit plain and my husband had the four cheese rigatoni, it was very salty for him, which is shocking considering my husband is usually a big fan of salt, it seems they were a bit heavy on the gorgonzola. Our waiter was very accommodating and professional. Still, we were disappointed, and while it is understandable that a lot may change in over the years, we were hoping that at least they would stick to the winning formula my husband and I experienced there three years ago.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Landshut. They offer very decent fresh fish and meat courses on their daily menus. I loved their swordfish carpaccio. A must try is also their tartufo ice cream for dessert! Also I really like the staff in here which is always very polite and fast.

Visiting Gabelsberherhof was an unplanned event. That was a few days ago when we were walking passed it on our way to pick up our car while discussing where to eat. We were not dissapointed. The starter, salad and pizza were very good. Service was excellent Highly recommended. We plan to go back again soon.
