Gasthof Ritter, Tieringer Str. 54, 72336 Balingen

I was at Ritter yesterday, and I have to say, I've never had such good soup in a restaurant. The Maultaschensuppe, in particular, beats anything else you'd get. Hearty, spicy, super good broth with fat, and plenty of filling.

The service is tip top, very accommodating. We are happy to accommodate any requests. The food, I would say I have never eaten better in any restaurant far and wide than I did here. The quality is very high. The prices are completely okay. For us the best restaurant in the area. We will come more often.

We discovered Gasthof Ritter through a roundabout route. After a wonderful hike on the Traufgangweg trail "Hossinger Leiter," our original plan was to stop at the Traufganghütte. Unfortunately, it was fully booked due to a wedding, so we looked around the area. A short drive of about 10 minutes brought us to Weilstetten and the Gasthof Ritter. A bit unassuming from the outside, but the food was a true delight!!! Excellent quality, more than filling portions, and at a completely reasonable price! The service is very friendly and attentive. We also had a quick peek into the beer garden, which made a very nice and cozy impression, which was unexpected from the outside. We would happily return at the next opportunity and give this "village inn" a full 5 stars with its fantastic food and rustic atmosphere.
