Amazing local Swabian food. Bastian was helpful with recommendations and provided excellent service. We liked the place so much we came back for brunch the next day. A local gem we were so glad to find.

This is our favourite place in Bad Urach to eat, I’m Australian and my husband is local to the area. The staff are friendly and the food always delicious. The setting is traditional but not old fashioned and always clean. We recently thought to try somewhere different in Bad Urach and were very disappointed, we will stick with Die Traube every time now.

This restaurant is the paramount of swabian and badisch cuisine I have tasted so far. This even includes the 2 swabian grandmas of dear friends that recommended that place to me. The food is made from regional products and masterfully prepared by the chefs. I had a Zwieberostbraten with Spätzle, Sauerkraut and a Maultasche and it was beyond delicious. The meat was juicy and tasty, without being bloody. The Spätzle and Maultasche were handmade and the Kraut was really good . But not only the food is deserving of praise. The waiters were super nice and not pushy at all. Furthermore, they answered any food related question fast, concise and in a friendly manner. In summary: If you are in Bad Urach, go and eat here!
