Upmarket food and wine at a reasonable price, great for a special evening! The Traube offers a 3 or 5 course menu with / without matching wines. There are 3 or 4 dishes to choose from for each course and they have vegetarian and vegan options. The food is beautifully presented and has unusual touches - wild boar in a strawberry confiture, sheep's cheese camembert ice cream . Service was excellent, friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately it is not possible to order the course menu on the same day. The fish is very fresh, however the taste is a bit too light. The Käsespetzle tastes very good though. Was told that the waiting time might be long, but actually it was okay.

I've said it before and I keep it - the best restaurant in Heidelberg. The summer'22 menu one of the best that I've tried at Traube. Definitely this restaurant needs to be on everyone's list.
