Where else can you find fried liver on the menu? Here on Vlieland! Deliciously prepared with bacon and fried onion. Eel soup as a starter. Update 2025: Been to De Richel again, twice now. Again the beef liver, but now with a very good steak tartare as a starter. De Richel is an absolute must.

Great Place, Great Service, Great Food. Big recommendation: Try the “romige Paling Soep”, a creamy soep made from eel; it’s delicious! Definitely coming back on next trip to Vlieland.
