In one word: great!!! Excellent food for a highway restaurant, with old recipes from the grand-grandmother, ruled by the fourth generation of the family. We didn't expect so good food, but we got it!!

Excellent find on route to Asturias. Great home cooking in the pretty village Alar del Rey. Worth walking along the bridge over the River Pisuerga. Menu of the day for 2 was 13 euros. Lots of choice and good food. We shall be back.
