Great local food! Delicious fish with coconut rice. Typical old house near the center. It's not fancy at all but it is really original!!! 100% recommended. A tiny bit pricy based on the place, but great food. 164.000 4 persons, 3 fish and a sea food kind of soup, all with patacón and coconut rice

I saw other people happily eating at Merkabar but I was disappointed at the food, the cleanliness, the flies, and the smell of the server. It is cheap, though. $10 for a cazuela de mariscos, which didn’t agree with my stomach.
