Hotel Schützen Rheinfelden : Bahnhofstrasse 19, 4310 Rheinfelden

3 star hotel with plenty of car park. The hotel car park is free of charge, the public parking is not free. The structure of the hotel is modern and looks like a 4+ star hotel. Rooms are generous in space and with all comforts. Dinner is served with few options. Breakfast could be improved as the choices are limited and there is not personnel in the kitchen. Overall is an excellent hotel in the centre of the city.

I was given a room where you could move 5 meters forward towards the window and only move 1 meter sideways. The ceiling was largely taken up by the slanted roof. It was extremely hot had to leave the window open but infortunately the trains came by at regular intervals, so the open window was a problem. I was in the 4rth floor in what i can only assume had been the servants quarters. The elevator was not working so had to carry my suitcase on the stairs. The window is the one protruding from the roof.

Newly renovated and the room are top. Clean, great bathroom and spacious overall. Lovely staff, very welcoming. Only remark would be that the floors, beautiful wooden, crack a lot.
