Hotel Restaurant Trompeterschlössle : Konstanzerstrasse 123, 8274 Tägerwilen

Very disappointing stay due to fictitious info about “hotel” when the place is just an Airbnb, which we found out only after we arrived. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights in Feb/Mar for my father-in-law’s birthday who loves whiskey. No whiskey served at this “Whiskey hotel”. No breakfast. No served coffee. No staff at the hotel. I sincerely wish we had not stayed here. Cons -Zero whiskey experience at Whiskey hotel -the restaurant and bar are closed. We are staying here between Friday and Sunday. Today is Saturday. Per website, the bar is open on weekends but it is closed. We called the staff, no answer. -no breakfast served even though it says it is available per Booking dot com and confirmation Email. We had to drive to get breakfast, coffee and everything. It was very hectic stay due to this. -one of the rooms had a very strong smell from sewage. Another room was given to us and this issue was fixed but took 2 hours to have it fixed since no staff on-site -thin wall and sound travels well. The hotel should clearly mention that the bar is closed, no restaurant, no breakfast, no staff at the hotel. With this disclosure, we would not have booked this place. Otherwise, the rooms are nice and it could be a pleasant stay with bar and breakfast service. ———————- Review in December 2024 We did not stay at this place and our experience is limited to booking process only. It was very difficult to reach this hotel by phone. No answers to our Email inquiries. When we managed eventually to reach someone, they all said they will call us or Email us back but they never did it. We experienced this with a few different staff. The hotel looks very nice but in the end, we gave up.

Beautiful hotel in a remote location that can still be easily reached by foot from Konstanz. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful interior and a great atmosphere. Great rooms with mosquito blocking at the windows, so the missing AC was not too badly missed. Great shower, extremely comfortable bed. For some reason we could not reach anybody when we had to change plans and check in after check in time and could not coordinate this before, what stressed us a bit

On the positive side, this hotel has plenty of character and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Having the free use of their bikes was great and the hotel is an easy walk into …
