Il Tiglio : Bahnhofstrasse 42, 8360 Eschlikon

I was craving for Spaghetti that evening and I told to the waiter that less Chili if possible and he said yes no problem. Unfortunately the Spaghetti was spicy and I was only able to eat not even the half of it. My husband did help me to finish the food. The tiny shrimps tasted nothing like it was wash several times. I was really disappointed ☹️ The good thing is I ordered Ice cream for dessert to make my tummy happy. I don’t think I will be back here.

Great location, beautifully furnished, you feel very comfortable. Friendly staff, personable boss. Very fine food, whether pizza, pasta or dessert. Aperitif and wine great. For me the best restaurant in the area. I recommend it to everyone!

I've lived in Eschlikon for x years and this was my first time at Il Tiglio. Simply wow. The welcome and service this evening from the two young women was very friendly, courteous, and simply perfect. Just the way you'd want to be served in a restaurant. The starter and the main course were very fine, no, it was perfectly delicious! Great food, great service from the two young women, and a lovely atmosphere. Buuuuut.... One of the waiters was the absolute worst! . When he brought us the starter , he didn't even say a hello or a "bon appetit." Not a word. You can kind of overlook that. When I paid, I specifically told one of the nice ladies that I wanted to pay. Apparently, she didn't have time, and that arrogant, unfriendly waiter came again. He literally slammed the bill on the table, and again, not a word. He didn't tell me how much it cost, and after paying, he didn't say a thank you. Not a pleasant evening. Nothing! The lowest of the low! The only thing he mumbled to himself was, "Do you still have a franc?" And he doesn't even speak proper German. And that in such a "fancy" restaurant. If you don't like your job, you should change and stop lazily wandering around during business and annoying the guests. I would have liked to tip . I didn't give a single cent to such an arrogant and unfriendly waiter. A real shame. By the way, other customers were also upset and annoyed with him. Nevertheless, it was great .
