🌟 An absolute recommendation🌟 Today, full of anticipation, I drove from Lucerne to Sirnach to visit the Sonnenberg Restaurant, and it was absolutely worth it! As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth. The hospitality was exceptionally warm and attentive, always with a friendly smile. The service was quick, attentive, and professional, and the food was excellently prepared and tasted of a high standard. I also particularly like the price-performance ratio, which is absolutely fair and consistent. The atmosphere in the restaurant invites you to feel at home, and you immediately notice that the work here is done with passion. It was much more than just a restaurant visit; it was a little experience. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Sonnenberg Restaurant and would be happy to return. Thanks to the entire team..😊
Our experience at the Sonnenberg Restaurant was a bit strange. We sat on the terrace, where you can enjoy the beautiful evening sun. Since my wife has several allergies, we handed over the allergy menu to the kitchen. And what my wife experienced was quite unusual. Since she is allergic to lemon and citric acid, among other things, she was not recommended to have salad dressing for her appetizer. So far, so good, because some restaurants have salad dressings that can contain acid. But she ordered an entrée and wanted pasta with it, which the menu lists as containing butter and sage. An employee refused this, too, citing "contractions." There was no risotto or potato as an alternative. So she got her not-so-large piece of meat, again with salad and no dressing. So, there was almost nothing on her plate that would fill you up. After that, we moved on to dessert. We were recommended a pistachio tiramisu. My wife wanted to order this, but the staff refused, citing "contradiction" because the allergy menu lists almonds and hazelnuts. We've never experienced such a refusal before, as it's always possible to prepare an alternative. All in all, we were very disappointed, and my wife was still hungry after the visit. The food is actually well prepared, and fresh ingredients are used. But the portions could be a little larger, as the prices are already quite reasonable. Entrée without a side dish costs 45 francs.
There were 10 of us and everyone enjoyed the food, although the service was a bit difficult with all the orders . Service often had to ask for requests. Customers will decide whether it fits or not based on prices, but quality is very good. Unfortunately, the question whether a coffee was desired was missing, which is a shame. Saturday evening and there was still crafting going on outside. But it's important that the food tasted good, the rest can be improved.
