We recently visited Restaurant Rothöhe during a day trip near Burgdorf and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the food. Although it's tucked away in a peaceful, scenic location with panoramic views of the Emmental hills, the restaurant serves delicious Middle Eastern dishes that really stood out - everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. What really made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. It's a great place to relax after a hike or just to enjoy a quiet meal with friends or family in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended

My partner and I went for the first time last Sunday. I ordered a Cordon bleu and my partner, a horse steak. The lady serving us was very friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. My Cordon bleu however was very dry and for the first time in my eating experience, I left about a quarter of it. My partner asked for her steak to be "medium rare". It arrived "mostly rare" although to her credit she finished it. Apart from these two mishaps, we enjoyed the overall experience. The views over Burgdorf are very picturesque and for visitors with children, there is a big play area. Something to note: the restaurant, play area and terrace are situated on the first floor and, to its credit, the hotel has a wheelchair lift and ample facilities for the disabled user.
